Monique is a corporate sustainability and climate change advisor with a breadth of senior level international experience across sectors as diverse as mining, property and construction, water and utilities, government and retail. Monique has over thirteen years professional experience in senior management roles in global consulting firms, as well as ‘on the inside’ of mining, property and construction companies. Monique has led both environmental management and sustainability & climate change engineering consultancy teams to deliver client expectations on projects ranging from multi-billion dollar transport infrastructure design and construction, green buildings design (as GreenStar or LEED assessor) and construction, greenhouse gas and energy efficiency programs, to transport-oriented design for master-planned communities (using the LEED or UDIA EnviroDevelopment guidelines).

Most recently, Monique has delivered Board and executive level training on the emerging Australian climate change legislation (EEO, NGERS, the National Carbon Offset Standard and CPRS), as well as briefed signatories to the Principles for Responsible Investment on how to respond to their obligations. Monique has also developed, implemented and reviewed numerous corporate sustainability strategies, most notably for two of Queensland’s largest government-owned corporations, as well as in her role as Sustainability Manager for Nakheel Joint Ventures and Developments in the Middle East.
