Overview
MJC Sustainability was awarded a grant by the WIIN Project of Enterprise Connect to deliver a series of training workshops across Australian capital cities. The workshops delivered core skills in sustainable procurement.
Products purchased and consumed by business can create environmental and social impacts throughout their lifecycle. To minimise these impacts, staff making purchasing decisions, need efficient ways to evaluate the potential impacts of their product choices.
Sustainable procurement is closely aligned with resource efficiency. The training workshops included detailed analysis of best and worst practice by well-known brands, as well as the handover of a complete sustainable procurement toolkit to all attendees. The toolkit ensured that all attendees would be able to hit the ground running and establish sustainable procurement practices on their return to work.
MJC Sustainability has since delivered this training numerous times for a wide variety of clients, big and small, across Australia.
